The 2026 annual Whitehorn Community Cleanup is coming up this month! Time to start planning your goodbyes to that junk you’ve been meaning to get rid of
Dispose of unusable or broken household items easily and in the right way.  Each year, the City partners with community organizations and volunteers to host community cleanups helping residents dispose of items that don’t fit in the black cart; supporting a cleaner, safer city.Â
Why participate?Â
Community cleanups bring residents together, build pride, and make it easier
to dispose of unusable or broken household items the right way.Â
Who can attend?Â
All Calgarians are welcome at any community cleanup, regardless of where they live. If you can’t make the event in your own neighborhood, you can drop off items at another cleanup location. These events are for residential use only; we do not accept commercial or contractor waste.Â
When do they happen?Â
The 2026 community cleanups run city-wide from April 25 through September 27, with events scheduled on weekends. Â
For more information about what can and cannot be accepted at community clean-ups or to see what days other communities are hosting their clean-ups, please visit the City of Calgary website at  https://www.calgary.ca/communities/community-cleanups.html
