In Loving Memory of Nadia Bayrouti

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our dear friend and fellow volunteer, Nadia Bayrouti. The world has lost a beautiful soul and we have lost a beautiful sister.

Nadia spent countless hours giving back to her community, regularly found volunteering with both Guru Nanak Free Kitchen YYC and the Whitehorn Community Association. But Nadia was never just a volunteer. She was more than a helping hand, more than a friend — she was a presence.
Always smiling.
Always checking in.
Always reminding us to pause; to eat, rest, and take care of ourselves so we could keep going.

In true Lebanese spirit, Nadia made sure everyone was nourished — not only with food, but with kindness, warmth, and genuine care. She carried herself with generosity and grace, and she gave of her time and heart without hesitation. The years we had the honour to work alongside her will never be forgotten.

Nadia, your impact was tremendous, your absence is enormous. The world is dimmer now without your lovely smile to light it up. We miss you.
