Community Associations exist in every neighbourhood in Calgary and are run by your neighbours. They promote engagement, act as a voice for your community, and work tirelessly to help grow vibrant, healthy neighbourhoods.
Members are the key to any community association. Successful associations are those with lively, active members, volunteers and board members. The community association exists for the benefit of the residents and develops programs and services to meet their unique needs and interests.
Your community association can be your voice with respect to decisions that affect your neighbourhood. It can be a place for your children to make new friends, learn important skills through recreation or simply have a good time.

Purchasing a Community Association Membership is a great way to get involved and show your support for the many ways your neighbours work to ensure you love where you live. And as the old saying goes, membership does have its privileges! The Association works hard to provide a host of perks and benefits:
The Whitehorn Community Association offer programs directly or provides support to other organizations offering programs such as Girl Guides and other partner agencies like the Canadian Zalmi Society. Our association partners with the City of Calgary to offer programs such as Park n Play and with other non-profit agencies that support our community pantry and
The community makes every effort to keep track of development and planning proposals in the areas such as transportation, roads, park and playground development, and traffic issues. The City of Calgary often consults with the community association on these issues.
Through bingos, casinos, grants, special events and community memberships, your community association raises funds to provide programs and services as well as construct, operate and maintain community facilities.
Community events are provided throughout the year which provides families an opportunity to meet others in the community and have some fun. Stampede breakfasts, family skates, and Bubblegum dances for youth are among some of the many events we host throughout the year.
We operate a facility that is available to rent for programs, meetings, social and private functions. Outdoor ice rink, basketball, and tennis facilities are maintained for the benefit of the community residents.
A WCA Membership is only $10/year
Memberships are valid for a year and run from July 1 to June 30.
